Sea of Galilee | Paint By Number

I really enjoyed painting while listening to conference. Kept me engaged and listening.

I bought this for my 91 year old mother to do during Holy Week. She had created beautiful paintings her entire adult life, but dementia has robbed her of the ability to remember how to put the colors into a masterpiece as she used to. She has taken up coloring and I thought perhaps paint by number would work. It seemed to do the trick. After presenting it to her on Palm Sunday her challenge was to have it done by Easter. The first couple days she was slow and only completed a couple of the bigger areas and had to be reminded how it to match the paint numbers to the numbered spaces on the canvas. The tiny areas seemed over whelming to her. One day she worked on it a lot and had it down to about 10 incompleted spots. Problem was she had painted Jesus entire face as one whole tan circle- no features on it at all with no numbers visible through the paint. I pointed this out, showed her the enclosed paper copy of the numbered canvas you included and told her she could try to follow how it was intended to be painted from the replica or she could just do the face how she wanted free hand. When I came by the next day, she had it finished. And Christ's face looked great. Thank you. My mother is quite proud of her accomplishment. Gotta frame it!!
